Imagine your identity is a bottle of water, left out in the hot sun.
The water has gone warm and it tastes terrible.
Now, if you pour fresh, cold water in on top, it cools down a little. But still, it tastes off, and it never gives you that truly clean and refreshing flavour you're looking for.
The only way to get that refreshing crystal clear drink you're looking for is to empty the bottle all the way out, rinse it clean, and then fill it back up.
Your consciousness works the same way. You can't pour a new identity in on top of the old one and expect it to operate at it's highest capacity.
During the Lion's Gate Portal last week, you got clear on who you're becoming. This week is Part 2: The Release. The total solar eclipse in Leo on August 12 is what I am preparing you for today.
Why You Keep Fighting Yourself When You're Already Clear on What You Want
You can see your dream version of yourself so damn clearly now.
She charges what she's worth, and pulls in dream clients that pay her on time, in full. She makes more money, with far less effort, because for her, success comes easily.
Even though you can see that dream version of yourself, you don't feel like her yet. Trying to "be" her feels like a lie you just can't shake.
You already know what you want. But the old you is still taking up all your mental bandwidth, so when you try to move as the new you, the old you keeps butting heads in the background, fighting you at every step.
It looks like this:
You're finally building your Instagram, because you dream of your profile blowing up with followers, selling your low-ticket offers on auto-pilot. But then, your old habits kicks in.
You start feeling rushed. Like you need to push out 7 posts this week or else you're not growing "fast enough."
Then you start releasing half-baked content because you feel like you "should" and then you get frustrated when you're posting every single day of the week but losing followers.
Or another example:
You're spending hours writing long-form content to sell the high-ticket offer you've always sold, even though you've outgrown it, so you constantly feel irritable and seem to have no time on your hands.
What you really want now is different: faceless reels that pull in a big reach and lead people to a low-ticket offer, for a slightly different audience.
But you keep defaulting to the old way, so your sales dry up and income dips making you doubt your expertise entirely.
The Saboteur Is the Part of You Fighting to Stay the Same
This is self-sabotage, also known as The Saboteur, the part of you that resists and gets in your own way, and she shows up right at the end of the Manifestation Cycle.
There's a metaphor I learned from Teal Swan that captures this:
Before you do the inner work, it's like you're in a boat where every part of your consciousness is rowing in a different direction. You're paddling as hard as you can but because one part of you is going left, while the other right, while another is going backwards you just stay stuck spinning in the same spot.
The belief that success has to be hard, that you have to struggle to deserve it, is mostly this: people trying to succeed while parts of themselves row in opposite directions.
What you're aligning here is your Presence, in my PRISM: Brand Identity Framework.
The Eclipse Is Your Window to Empty your Cup
A total solar eclipse is a new moon at full power, and this one lands in Leo, the sign of visibility, confidence, and how you show up.
It's a releasing eclipse, tied to the south node, the point that is about letting go of the past. Its whole job is to clear out the old self, the performing, the chasing of validation, so a truer, more aligned version of yourself can come through. It is a time to surrender and release.
Where Lion's Gate last week set the direction, the eclipse this week is for releasing, to make way for the new direction.
Here's how to use the energy of this total solar eclipse in Leo:
Create a list. What parts of your current self are no longer in alignment with who you're choosing to become?
Now, go through each point on your list and ask yourself, are you ready to let this part of yourself go?
If yes: tell that part of yourself thank you, I love you, and allow it to be released.
If no: ask why you're not ready to let this part of yourself go, then come back to the question, are you ready now? If you keep struggling to release something, my [5R's of Cognitive Reprogramming] [[link: The 5R's of Cognitive Reprogramming //027]] are built for exactly this.
Feel that energy coming back to you, reinforcing that new version of yourself.
