You know what’s frustrating?
You’ve already proven you can make money.
You’ve had the $10k months.
You’ve signed clients.
You know your business works.
But it’s not consistent, at all.
And I know how frustrating that is, because I went through the exact same cycle for years, constantly making money but never feeling like my brand was actually stable or compounding. I broke down exactly why that was happening (and what I was missing) here → The Aesteria Codex //002: Why I Kept Changing My Brand
Some months feel easy as pie, while other months feel like you’re starting over from scratch.
Content creation feels like a chore, your income fluctuates, and honestly your business only really makes money when you feel “on your game.”
Here’s what most alignment coaches won’t tell you:
→ Your mood shouldn’t determine how much money you make.
→ You should be making money regardless of how you feel every single day.
Why Nothing You Try Is Actually Growing your Brand
But let’s get real, if you’re really honest with yourself,
The way you’re currently running your business is built entirely around your mood.
Which might feel aligned in the moment, but over time it creates a business that constantly shifts direction without ever building real traction. This is also where a lot of people confuse intuition with inconsistency, which I broke down more deeply here → Stop Telling Yourself This Lie
It looks like:
→ Writing content based on whatever feels interesting or exciting to you that day without actually tying it back to a clear brand message so your audience doesn’t turn lifetime buyers
→ Designing your visuals based on what looks “cool,” without any real brand kit or visual identity so you’re constantly rebranding yourself visually with every new offer you create.
→ Creating and pricing your offers based on what you see others in your niche charging instead of building a structured offer suite that naturally leads your audience from one level to the next.
And because of that, everything in your business ends up moving in different directions.
And when that happens, your marketing starts to feel heavy, disconnected, and way harder than it should be, because nothing is actually working together behind the scenes. I broke down exactly why that happens here → Why Your Marketing Feels Draining (And What That’s Telling You) (need link)
And when every part of your business is moving in different direction, of course your income is going to swing up and down without ever gaining any real traction.
Why Your Mood Controls Your Business (And What’s Actually Missing)
The reason your business is because there’s nothing in your brand that’s actually holding it together.
You don’t have a clear identity. No defined message.
No consistent visual direction. No real standards for how your brand shows up.
There’s nothing anchoring your decisions.
Which is exactly why it becomes so hard to scale, because without something stable guiding your decisions, everything depends on your energy in the moment instead of a system that can actually hold your growth → The Scaling Formula for Every Income Level
So every decision defaults back to you.
Which means you’re constantly having to figure everything out in real time.
Your daily internal dialogue sounds like:
What should I talk about today?
How long should this post be?
What format should I use?
What platform should I focus on?
When should I post?
What should this offer look like?
And over time, that starts to wear on you.
Because now your business depends on you having the energy to keep making decisions over and over again.
So you get burnt out.
Your content starts to feel forced.
Your visuals change with every new offer.
And your audience never gets a clear sense of who you are or what you stand for.
Which makes it harder for them to trust you, and see you as the go-to expert in your space.
What a Strong Brand Identity Actually Looks Like
A strong personal brand isn’t built on how you feel that day.
It’s built on a clear structure that guides everything you do.
And once that structure is in place, your brand stops feeling like something you’re constantly trying to figure out, and starts becoming something your audience can actually recognize and trust. If you’re not sure what that structure looks like yet, start here → How to Define Your USP
You know:
what you talk about
how you show up
what you want to be known for
and how your brand is meant to be experienced by your audience (ie: what makes your audience obsessed and ready to invest immediately)
So instead of constantly asking yourself “what should I do today?”
You already know.
For Example:
You know you’re creating 2 posts this week on this topic.
You know exactly how long your content should be.
You know what type of reel brings in leads vs what builds authority.
You know how to say something in a way that actually converts.
And your brand stops feeling like something you have to constantly “fix” or “find,” and instead it becomes a work of art that naturally draws people in and converts them with ease.
The Difference Between Making Money and Building a Scalable Personal Brand
Making money once proves your business works.
But building a scalable personal brand is an entirely different ball game.
Consistency doesn’t come from being “on” all the time.
It comes from having a brand that holds its shape regardless of your mood, energy, or what’s happening in your life.
A personal brand that:
people instantly recognize
has a clear identity and message
doesn’t need to constantly reinvent itself to make money
This is the difference between:
→ making money only when you feel good vs.
→ building a personal brand that generates consistent income
Over the next few weeks inside The Aesteria Codex, we’ll be diving much deeper into what actually creates a magnetic personal brand.
But I’d also love to hear what you want help with.
If you have a question about growing your brand: whether it’s messaging, positioning, content, or brand identity, you can submit it through my Ask Irisel form here.
Each week I’ll select a few questions and answer them directly inside the Codex.
At the end of this month, I’ll be answering some of your questions directly, so if there’s something you’ve been stuck on while building your brand, now’s the perfect time to ask.
