You are busier than ever, and AI was supposed to give you your time back.

It promised to cut your costs and take work off your plate. Instead you're spending hours rewriting content that sounds nothing like you, and still paying a designer, a photographer, and a copywriter to try and scramble together a brand that actually makes you proud.

That's why I put together this step-by-step playbook on how to use AI to build your brand, one piece at a time, so it comes out authentically you instead of like a robot.

By the end you will have a mini brand identity blueprint: a baseline brand kit you pull from every time you write content, plan a photoshoot, or create a reel.

We will be using my PRISM: Brand Identity Framework to help you create an Apex Brand that clients recognize on sight and pay 5-6 figures for. If you want the full foundation, here are the first three pieces of the series:

Now, let's begin.

Why AI Makes Your Brand Sound Generic

Too many copywriters and coaches want you to believe that using AI is "inauthentic," that it strips the soul out of your brand. The truth is simpler: AI is just a tool, and it shows you how strong your brand already is, or how much of it is missing.

Here is what that looks like. Ask AI to write your brand intro with a bare prompt and nothing behind it, and you get something like this:

I help women entrepreneurs build authentic personal brands that attract their dream clients and grow their business.

Give it the same task, but feed it a real breakdown of your brand voice first, and you get something like this:

I help female founders who are already great at what they do become the obvious investment choice in their space, so dream clients show up ready to pay six figures in full.

Same tool, same task. The only difference is the brand backbone underneath the second one.

That backbone is exactly what this guide gives you, not only for your copywriting but for every part of your brand: your mindset, your archetype, your audience, your visuals, and the way you show up.

When we're done, you can use this brand kit yourself, or hand it to a marketing expert, a copywriter, or a VA, and have all your moving parts finally moving the same way.

Build Your Apex Personal Brand With AI: a mockup of the free AI playbook, the baseline brand kit you build with AI and can share.

How This Works

Before we dive in, let me show you how this actually works, because it's the opposite of how most people use AI. We are not going to ask AI to invent your brand for you. Everything that makes your brand yours is already inside you. Your job is to get it out of your head and onto the page, and your AI's job is to organize it, reflect it back, and show you the things you are too close to see yourself.

For each of the five threads of PRISM, you run the same loop:

Build Your Brand Kit With AI in 5 Steps diagram: a numbered loop, prime your AI, read the questions, brain-dump your answers, feed them back, then go back and forth, with steps two to five repeated across the five PRISM threads.
  1. Prime your AI once, with the pre-prompt below.

  2. Read the questions for the piece you are building.

  3. Brain-dump your answers in as much detail as you can.

  4. Feed your answers to AI and let it reflect them back.

  5. Go back and forth refining your brand until that thread sounds exactly how you want it.

Do that five times, once for each thread of PRISM, then collate the five parts together into one document. That becomes your brand kit.

Step 1: Priming Your AI

Before your first piece, prime your session with this. You run it once, and it sets the tone for everything after:

We are going to play a game, and I want you to be my brainstorm buddy. Think like a creative brand strategist who is a master of brand psychology, influence, and persuasion marketing. We are building my apex personal brand: a mini brand identity blueprint I will use every time I write content, plan a photoshoot, or create a reel.

Here is how we will work. I will feed you my own detailed answers, one piece of my brand at a time. For each piece, reflect back what you hear me saying, including what I may be saying indirectly, then ask me refining questions to take it deeper or catch what I have missed. When a piece feels fully like me, pull it into a detailed brand brief, and we move to the next.

Do not invent generic brand language, do not fill gaps with what merely sounds good, do not paraphrase my words with your own, and do not let me settle for anything that does not actually sound like me.

One rule as you go: after each brief, if it still sounds generic, tell your AI. "This does not sound like me yet, push me harder. Grill me with questions until we nail my brand in a way that is authentically me."

Step 2: P: Your Presence (Mindset and Self-Worth)

Presence is you: your own consciousness, how you think, and who you know yourself to be inside. It is owning your worth and radiating it, with every atom of your inner world.

Journal on these first before dropping them into your AI. Include as much detail as you can:

  • Who do you dream of becoming? How does she show up, what does she sound like, how does she feel? Who is she at her core?

  • What do you truly believe you are worth? What is the value of the transformation you offer to others when they engage with you, your content, or your offers?

  • Where do you play small, or tell yourself you have to "level up" before you deserve the clients/money/fame you want? How would you show up if you weren't scared to be as big, bright, and beautiful as you truly are?

  • How do you operate when no one is watching, and how does the woman you are becoming operate differently than who you've been up until this point?

  • Why does your audience love and adore you? How can you embrace that part of yourself to it's fullest, and embody it at it's maximum?

Then bring it to your AI:

Here are the questions for my Presence, and my detailed answers to each. [paste both]. First, reflect back to me what you see me saying or repeating, and what I may be saying indirectly. Then ask me refining questions to drive this even deeper, or questions I may have missed, so we can fully lock in the Presence of my highest-level brand identity. When we are done, collate everything into one clear document I can take with me and send to a brand designer or copywriter, one that clearly reflects the Presence of my brand.

Step 3: R: Your Resonance (Your Brand Archetype)

If Presence is who you are inside, Resonance is how you relate to the world around you: your story, your legacy, and how you connect with the people you serve. It lives in your Brand Archetype, the story of your brand.

Start here: take the Brand Archetype Quiz so you know your starting archetype, then journal on how you actually relate to it.

Journal on these first, in as much detail as you can:

  • Which parts of your Brand Archetype feel true to who you are?

  • Which parts of your Brand Archetype do you feel like you have outgrown?

  • Is there a Brand Archetype you deeply resonate with but have not fully owned yet that you feel should be part of your Brand Archetype Fusion?

  • What is your story, and the legacy you want to leave? How does your story relate to your Brand Archetype Fusion?

  • How do you want to connect with the people around you, and what do you want them to feel from you?

Then bring it to your AI:

Here are my answers about how I relate to my Brand Archetype. [paste them]. Reflect back what you hear, ask me refining questions to catch what I have missed, then build me a percentage breakdown of how much I am of each archetype, and describe how I relate to my audience in archetype and resonance terms. When we are done, collate everything into one clear document I can take with me and send to a brand designer or copywriter, one that clearly reflects the Resonance of my brand.

Step 4: I: Your Influence (Who You're Speaking To)

Influence is about knowing your audience. This is where you do your market research and understand exactly who you are speaking to, what they want, and why they buy. It is the piece most people skip, and it is what makes the right people actually find you.

Journal on these first, in as much detail as you can:

  • Who is your work for? Whether you are a content creator, a consultant, or a coach, what you create is for someone specific. Who is she? Who gets the best results, the most enormous transformation, from interacting with what you have to say?

  • Why does she want to buy from you? What is she struggling with that keeps her up at night? What problem does she think about day and night that is driving her crazy?

  • What is the tangible outcome she wants to create? Who does she dream of becoming? What does she dream of having? Why does she need to engage with your content now, and invest in your offers now, to have what she desires?

  • What has she tried that hasn't worked, and why hasn't it worked? Why are you different from anything else she has ever tried or listened to?

Then bring it to your AI:

Here are my answers about my ICA, or target demographic. [paste them]. Reflect back who you hear me describing, ask me refining questions to sharpen my ICA, then pull it into an ideal-client brief: her profile, what she struggles with and what she wants in her own words, why she buys from me, and how I am different from what she has tried before. Do not paraphrase me and use my exact language as much as possible. When we are done, collate everything into one clear document I can take with me and send to a brand designer or copywriter, one that clearly reflects the Influence of my brand.

Step 5: S: Your Signature (Your Visual World)

Signature is everything people see: your colors, your silhouette, your design language, your logo, the assets that make up your visual world.

Before you journal, discover two things about yourself.

1. Your Personal Color Season. Use an AI image tool to generate clean, front-facing photos of yourself in a few different colored tops or drapes, in neutral daylight with no filter. Look at which colors make your skin look clear and lit, and which leave you looking tired or washed out. I will be adding more about Personal Color Analysis in future articles, so stay tuned.

(ps: If you would rather not trust AI with this, a professional color analyst is always worth it, because personal color is easy to get wrong.)

2. Your Kibbe Type. Take a few full-length photos in fitted clothing and look at your lines: sharp and angular, soft and rounded, or a mix, and how your height and bone structure read overall. Use those to place yourself among the Kibbe types, which tell you the silhouettes and lines that flatter your shape. Again, if you would like a more in-depth guide on your Kibbe type, stay tuned by subscribing here for future releases.

Then journal on these, in as much detail as you can:

  • What is your Personal Color Season, and which colors consistently make you look most alive?

  • Out of your Personal Color Season, which colors are your favourite to wear that you personally like the best?

  • What is your Kibbe Type, and which silhouettes and lines feel most like you? That represent your personality, your energy, and are what you genuinely enjoy wearing?

  • Looking at your Personal Color Season and your Brand Archetype together, which colors in your personal color palette also match the energy of your Brand Archetype?

  • Out of your Kibbe Type, which styles of clothing and outfits best match your Brand Archetype Fusion?

  • What do you want your visual footprint to imprint upon the world? When the world sees you, what do you want them to immediately think, feel, and remember about you?

  • Out of your Personal Color Season and your Kibbe Type, is there a style or color that fits your Brand Archetype but that you feel uncomfortable wearing? Why is that? What are you afraid of embodying if you showed up as that version of yourself?

Then bring it to your AI:

Here is my Personal Color Season, my Kibbe Type, my Brand Archetype, and my notes on the visual feel I want. [paste them]. Reflect back the visual direction you hear, then ask me questions to help me point out my blind spots. Once we finish brainstorming, put together a visual brief: my color scheme, a style guide including the silhouettes and styling that fit my shape, and the visual elements that fit me, plus what to avoid. You will not design the assets, you will brief the direction I can hand to a designer or a digital imaging tool. When we are done, collate everything into one clear document I can take with me and send to a designer or copywriter, one that clearly reflects the Signature of my brand.

This is already enough to hand a designer and end the rebrand loop. Pulling your exact best shades and lines goes deeper than one prompt. If you want to do that with me privately, you can book a Brand Codex Intensive here.

Step 6: M: Your Magnetism (How You Show Up)

Magnetism is everything people feel from you: your energy, your aura, the way you carry yourself. Where Presence is your internal world, Magnetism is how you take that inner energy and reflect it back out to the world. It is how you make a room or a camera feel, and how people experience you.

Journal on these first, in as much detail as you can:

  • What energy do you want people to feel the moment they meet you or your content?

  • What is your natural aura, the way you come across when you feel most like yourself? When you are your most confident, and your most radiant. Not when you feel shy or insecure.

  • What are your mannerisms: how you move, speak, and carry yourself when you are most magnetic?

  • How do you want to connect with the world and with the people around you?

  • What makes you unforgettable, the thing people remember about being around you?

Then bring it to your AI:

Here are my notes on my energy, my aura, and how I carry myself. [paste them]. Reflect back what you hear, then ask me questions to help me point out my blind spots. Then pull it into a magnetism brief: the energy and aura I lead with, my signature mannerisms, how I want people to feel around me, and some tips and tricks to help me pay attention to and magnify my natural magnetism. When we are done, collate everything into one clear document I can take with me and send to a designer or copywriter, one that clearly reflects the Magnetism of my brand.

Put It Together: Your Brand Kit

I know this was a lot, so do not force yourself to do it all in one day. Take one thread at a time. When you have all five briefs, collate them into a single document. That is your brand kit: your Presence, your Resonance, your Influence, your Signature, and your Magnetism, all in your own words, ready to pull from every time you create.

And if you want to build it with me directly, one on one, that is exactly what my Brand Codex Intensive is for. Come work with me privately, and we will build your whole brand together.
