Where Mindset Work Stops Working
There’s a point most people hit in their growth where mindset stops moving the needle.
You’ve journaled. Listened to audio meditations on repeat every night before bed.
You “understand” your patterns. You know you shouldn’t feel anxious, or unworthy, or self-conscious, but you can’t help but fall victim to those emotions.
You “know” you’re safe, but you don't feel safe.
You “know” you “can” be abundant, but your body-mind-spirit can’t create that feeling.
This is where most personal development practices fall short on helping you master manifestation.
Because knowledge alone doesn’t resolve emotional memory.

That’s why I use Somatic EFT as one of my core tools, both personally and with my clients.
It goes beyond traditional Somatic practices, and standard EFT, to become a fusion technique that has supported my clients in earning millions, and exploding their follower count and opportunities.
It is a precise method for reprogramming emotional patterns at the level where identity is actually held.
What Somatic EFT Is (And Why I Use It Differently)
Traditional EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) works by tapping on meridian points while acknowledging an emotion or belief, helping discharge emotional charge from the nervous system.
It’s effective, but from my perspective, it’s incomplete.
Most people use EFT in one of two limited ways:
as scripted affirmation (“Even though I feel X…”)
or as emotional venting without integration
What I teach and practice goes deeper.
Somatic EFT bridges three things at once:
the emotion being felt
the body holding it
and the identity pattern attached to it
This is not about calming yourself down, or “embedding positivity” into your body.
It’s about allowing the body to completely process the negative emotions your body has stored for years that it was never able to finish so the emotion releases and your new identity updates.
My 5-Step Somatic EFT Process

This process works whether you’re processing:
trauma stored in the body
emotional patterns around money
fear tied to visibility or leadership
or glass ceilings you intellectually understand but still can’t break
Step 1: Presence: Locate the Emotion in the Body
Before tapping, you don’t start with thoughts. You start with sensation.
Close your eyes and ask:
What am I feeling right now?
Where do I feel it in my body?
No, and I don’t mean metaphorically. I mean Physically.
Look for things like:
Tight chest.
Knot in your stomach.
Clenched jaw.
Numbness. Heat. Pressure.
This step matters because energy follows attention.
When someone is processing trauma, for example, sexual assault, the body had to learn to disconnect for survival. By bringing your awareness to the physical location that is holding negative emotion, you’re allowing your awareness to begin healing your pain.
Your attention = your energy.
Step 2: Permission: Allow the Emotion to Exist
This is where most people unconsciously block their ability to heal.
Usually when someone deep into the spiritual development or self help world identifies a negative emotion, they try to “fix” it. They try to change it.
“Oh, I’m angry,” → okay I must be happy then or be grateful instead.
“Oh, I feel anxious about money,” → well, I better some-how make myself feel “abundant” instead.
No, this doesn’t work. Your emotion is there for a reason. It’s because this part of you needs to alchemize. AKA: turn this negative emotion into something new. That doesn’t mean change or fix (contrary to what makes sense)
It means you first how to feel the emotion, let it fully be moved through your body.
Then, you can choose a new emotion to reinforce instead.
Step 3: Expression: Tap While Speaking the Truth
Once you give your emotion permission to exist, then you can begin tapping.
Wow, I know starting to tap doesn’t even begin until Step 3! Yes, that’s why my Somatic EFT process is different. We prioritize the emotional rebalancing, by alchemizing your emotions within you, rather than forcing “positive” emotions on top of what’s already existing.
Now you begin tapping through the meridian points.
But instead of reading a script, you speak honestly. In order to “shift” an emotion, you first need to know where you are right now. What is this emotion trying to tell you.
This might sound like:
“I don’t believe it’s possible to make millions doing what I do for a living.”
“I don’t trust myself enough to keep money.”
“I don’t believe I’m good enough to be a leader.”
“I’m scared people won’t like me, so even though I want to succeed, I can’t get myself to take action.”
“Nobody likes me, why should I even create content in the first place?”
The goal is not positivity.
The goal is truth without censorship.
Tapping while speaking truth allows emotional charge to move through the body instead of looping in the mind. The reason why it’s looping in the mind is because this emotion was never allowed to fully express itself.
Step 4: Integration: Let the Body Update the Story
As tapping continues, and you just speak out loud your stream of consciousness, you will notice that things begin to shift.
You notice:
Your crying becomes sobs, but eventally starts to feel relaxing
You start realizing hey, this story doesn’t make any sense
You think: hey, maybe it’s not that scary any longer
Or, you know what, I think I’m ready to let this go and stop making it a big deal
This is when the nervous system begins to recalibrate.
Only after this shift do you introduce reframes, not as affirmations, but as realizations.
Examples:
“This is why I’ve been too scared to be consistent.”
“I’m allowed to have more than I needed back then.”
“Safety doesn’t disappear when I expand.”
“This pattern protected me once, it doesn’t need to anymore.”
This is where identity begins to change, not because you decided to, but because your body now has the space to prioritize a new story.
Step 5: Embodiment: Install the New Frequency
This step doesn’t come before realization, it comes after it.
Once the emotional charge has moved and the truth has surfaced, this is where you begin to introduce the new story slowly, in a way your body can actually receive.
Think of it like you’re here to be your own own wing woman.
You stay tapping, and you begin speaking to yourself like this:
“There is a part of me that’s still scared to make this level of income.”
“And there is also a part of me that’s becoming ready.”
“I’m starting to believe this might be possible for me.”
“I don’t need full certainty yet, I’m willing to be open.”
“I’m allowed to take one step closer to this reality.”
This is where identity truly shifts.
You’re not trying to convince your nervous system that everything is suddenly safe.
You’re letting it practice the new belief: gently, gradually, until it stops feeling so foreign.
While tapping, you notice:
Does this belief still feel tight?
Does it feel scary?
Or does it start to soften?
You keep going until the idea of the new reality feels less threatening and more familiar.
That’s embodiment.
Not installing a new identity overnight, but making it emotionally tolerable to become her.
This step is especially crucial when breaking income ceilings or long-held emotional patterns.
Because what keeps people stuck isn’t a lack of desire, it’s that the next level still feels too big, too unsafe, or too unfamiliar to hold.
Embodiment is when the body learns:
“I don’t have to be ready all at once.
I can grow into this.”
And once the nervous system no longer perceives the new identity as a threat, the ceiling dissolves naturally.
Why This Works When Other Methods Don’t
Somatic EFT works because it addresses the root:
not just what you think
not just what you feel
but what your body learned and never updated
Trauma, money patterns, and emotional loops aren’t failures of discipline. They’re unfinished physiological responses.
When the body completes the loop, the pattern dissolves without force. And you wake up as the new you that you’ve been working so hard to become.
Final Thoughts
You don’t need to relive the past to release it. You don’t need to spend 6 months journaling 2hrs every single day to reprogram your mind.
In order to heal your emotional body, you just need to let your body finish what it never had the chance to complete.
Somatic EFT isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about freeing your system so your next level stops feeling threatening. And once that happens, growth becomes steady instead of volatile.
